Home » Boys' Basketball NewsPirates go 3-1 at MICDSDecember 30, 2012 By Rick Foster of St Charles Boys BasketballThe Pirates made it a Merry Christmas for everyone by finishing with a 3-1 record and capturing 5th place in the MICDS Tourney. The Pirates opened up tourney play beating #9 seed Clayton 71-64. After a loss to top seeded Ladue, the Pirates defeated # 5 seed Lutheran North 59-51 (Lutheran North is currently ranked #9 in the St. Louis Area. The Pirates finished the tourney beating # 7 seed Career Academy in a 1 point thriller 54-53. SCHS began the tourney chosen as the 8th best team (receiving the 8th seed) in the 16 team field. With the two upsets of higher seeds the Pirates took home the 5th place trophy. It was a great TEAM effort this tourney. Casey Teson was named to the all tourney team. The Pirates will play Bayless at the Washington Tourney at 7:30 PM - January 7.
