Basketball Season Right Around the Corner

Splendora Wildcat Basketball season is rapidly approaching.  Basketball try-outs are Monday and Tuesday of next week. The Seventh grade will tryout from 3:40 to 5:00 and the Eighth grade will tryout from 5:00 to 6:15.  The teams will be announced Tuesday evening.

The first game is at home on Thursday against Cleveland. We will practice until 5:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Games are on Thursdays. No regularly scheduled practices on Fridays. 

Try-outs will be limited to boys that are academically eligible and to students that that have completed their athletic paperwork.  (All football players have theirs completed).  The boys will be graded on a rubric created by the head basketball coach.  The rubric consists of basketball skills, academics, school,behavior and attitude. There are 24 slots on each grade.
