WAUSAU – Kolten Pope picked up a pin in just 29 seconds as the Stevens Point Area Senior High wrestling team downed Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference tilt on Thursday.

Tyler Kiefer capped the dual at 132 pounds with a pin in 2 minutes, 29 seconds for the Panthers.

“Getting four forfeits, take those out of the mix it is a much closer meet,” SPASH coach Duane Groshek said. “But coming off Christmas break and our practice schedule being a bit screwy, we were a bit out of focus. We will practice all week and be a bit more focused next Thursday against Marshfield. But it is a good conference win for us.
