Announcements For Thursday 4/26

> The JUNIOR VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM fell to visiting Peru, 20 - 2. Ross Phillipy, Matt Porter
and Dylin Coots collected hits in the contest for the 1 and 11 JV.
> The VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM suffered a 10 - 0, no-hit loss at Manchester to fall to 0 and 13
on the season.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY SOFTBALL TEAM fell at Peru, 6 - 4. Kaylee Bixby, Abby Houlihan and
Corrine Burnley had hilts for the 3 - 5 - 1 JV squad in the contest.
> CONGRATULATIONS to the VARSITY SOFTBALL TEAM which posted a 13 - 1 Three Rivers
Conference win at Manchester. Jenny Bentley was the winning pitcher, striking out 12 in the
process. Allie Enyeart had 4 hits in the contest to lead a 17 hit onslaught. Sarah White had 3
hits including a home run; Josie Grossnickle had 3 hits; Hailee Parish and Jessica Foley had 2
hits apiece and Logan Hensley and Bentley added home runs for the 8 and 6 Diamond Knights.
> CONGRATULATIONS to the VARSITY TENNIS TEAM which evened its TRC mark at 1 and 1
with a 3 - 2 win over Northfield. Liz Collins and Emily Airgood notched singles wins and Alyson
Adams and Sofia Draper had a doubles win to seal the victory for the 2 and 4 netters.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY TENNIS TEAM managed a tie with Northfield 3 - 3. Alyson Gouveia,
Sarah Peters and McKenna Marsh had JV wins for the Knights.
> CONGRATULATIONS to the SEVENTH GRADE GIRLS TRACK TEAM which posted an 87 - 5
victory over visiting Southern Wells. Fourteen blue ribbons, for first place finishes, went home
with the Southwood 7 grade squad. Receiving 1sts were Brooke Elliott, Makenna Dawes, th
Taylor Heath, Ashley Parson, the 400 Meter Relay Team, the 1600 Meter Relay Team and Ellie
White. SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to Ellie White who set a new school record in the 800
Meter Run ! Second place finishers were Parson, and Dawes.
> The EIGHTH GRADE GIRLS TRACK TEAM fell to visiting Southern Wells, 59 - 37. First place
finishers were Ellie LaBonte, Delayne Gentry, the 400 Meter Relay Team and Bailey Hobbs.
Hobbs had a second as did LaBonte and Gentry. Sylvia Ugalde had a pair of thirds.
> CONGRATULATIONS to the SEVENTH GRADE BOYS TRACK TEAM which topped Southern
Wells, 98 - 3. Winning blue ribbons for the 7 graders were Blake MArtz, Drew Hileman, the th
400 Meter Relay Team, Eryk Weber, Samuel Gardner, Jeffrey Finicle, and Chris Adams. Second
place finishers were Hileman, Adams, Gardner, Finicle, and Martz. Third place finishers
included Finicle, Adams and Isaac Cooper.
> The EIGHTH GRADE BOYS TRACK TEAM lost a tightly contested meet to Southern Wells, 60
- 49. First place eighth grade boys track finishers were Josh Hobson, Josiah Friedersdorf, and
Andrew Finicle. Second place finishers were Kolten Kersey, Finicle, Alex Harmon, and Justin
Lawson. Third place finishers were Harmon, Kersey, Trevor Gray and Aaron Ross.
