Southwood High SchoolFROM FRIDAY. . .
> The VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM fell to visiting Mississinewa, 12 - 2. Tim Duel had a two-run homer;
Jacob Lloyd had three hits; Robbie Cole added a pair of hits for the Knight niners.
> The VARSITY TENNIS TEAM fell at Bluffton, 4 - 1. Alyson Adams and Sofia Draper notched a win
at # 1 doubles.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY TENNIS TEAM fell at Bluffton , 7 - 2. Sarah Peters and Mikaela Gardner
and Tori Meyer posted net wins for the JV.
> The VARSITY BOYS TRACK TEAM competed in the 17 Annual Knight Relays and placed third th
overall. Special Congratulations to Coltyn Spicer (long jump) and the 3200 Meter Relay Team which
were Knight Relays champions ! Also earning medals were Johnny Mendez (2 - Mile Run) and Brett nd
Wyatt (shot put). Third place finishers were the Distance Medley Relay Team and Devin Bechtold.
The 1600 Meter Relay Team, Wyatt and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team had fourths; the Sprint
Medley Team had a 7 as did Bechtold. th
> The VARSITY GIRLS TRACK TEAM also placed third at the 17th Annual Knight Relays. Special
Congratulations to the 1600 Meter Relay Team which grabbed medals by virtue of their first place
finish. The 3200 Meter Relay Team earned 2 place medals as did the Distance Medley Team. nd
Meagan Chittick along with the Sprint Medley Relay Team earned thirds. Lexi Brickner , Jaycie
Wright and the 400 Meter Relay Team earned fourths; the Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team and Lisa
Schmalzried each earned 6 place ribbons; Hannah Fadil had a 7 place finish and an 8 place finish th th th
and Jenna Schmidt had an 8 place finish. th
FROM SATURDAY. . .
> The VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM fell to visiting Peru, 19 - 2 in the opening game of a double header.
Robbie Cole had a triple, Nathan Hollars and Ryan Skeens each had doubles in the contest. Game
two was stopped in the third inning due to rain.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM fell at South Adams, 6 - 3. Ross Phillipy, Mat Porter and
Austin Schlemmer all had hits in game one. In game number two, the JV niners fell at South Adams,
7 - 6. Derek Lucas had a pair of hits for the 0 and 5 JV.
> The VARSITY GOLF TEAM finished 8 at the Brookwood Shootout on Saturday. Levi Winget was th
the Knight medalist with an 88; Brew Roser had a 91; Taylor Arwood added a 95 for the Knight
linksters.

> The JUNIOR VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM hosts Wabash in a 5:00 pm contest at “The
Launching Pad”. Admission is $4.00 per person.
< The VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM travels to Madison Grant for a 5:00 pm showdown with the
Argylls.
< The VARSITY SOFTBALL TEAM treks to Madison Grant to match up with the Argylls in a
5:00 pm contest.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY & VARSITY TENNIS TEAMS host Peru in a 5:00 pm contest at the
tennis courts. There is no admission charge for this contest.
> The JUNIOR HIGH TRACK TEAMS travel to Oak Hill for a three-way with the Eagles and North Miami slated to begin at 5:00 pm.
