From Saturday . . .
> CONGRATULATIONS to the SEVENTH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM which
captured the Southwood Invitational championship by defeating Maconaquah, 44 - 10 and
R.J. Baskett, 41 - 10. In the Maconaquah contest, Brooke Elliott had 16 points; Taylor Heath
had 8 points; Starr Hullinger had 6 points and Makenna Dawes added 5 points. In the
Baskett contest, Elliott had 18 points; Heath had 14 points and Hullinger added 5 for the 9
and 0 7 graders. th
> The EIGHTH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM lost a hard fought 22 -21 decision to
Maconaquah in the opening round of the Southwood Invitational. Ellie LaBonte had 10
points and Emily Harnish added 5 points in the loss. The 8 graders fell to Wabash in the th
consolation contest. Danielle Pegg had 2 points for the 0 and 9 8 graders in the th
consolation game.
> The VARSITY WRESTLING TEAM competed at the IHSAA Sectional Meet at Peru on
Saturday. Knight grapplers advancing to this Saturday’s IHSAA Regional are: Colton Dawes
and Nick McCown - both 2 place finishers; Jonathon Friedersdorf and Jake Smith - 3 place nd rd
finishers and Dustin Curless and Casey Baxter - both 4 place finishers. th
> CONGRATULATIONS to the JUNIOR VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM which defeated
North Miami 29 - 24. Emily Lehner had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds;
Meranda Friend, Haley Heath, Abby Houlihan and Aleesha Phillips all had 4 points apiece
and Friend had 2 assists and 5 steals for the 11 and 6 JV.
> CONGRATULATIONS to the GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM which raised its record
to 5 and 13 with a 49 - 33 win over North Miami. Sarah White led the Lady Knights with 20
points and 5 steals; Kaley Harness had 11 points; Jessica Pegg had 9 points and 5 rebounds
and Julia Osborne added 2 assists .

Knight athletic schedule . . .
> The SEVENTH & EIGHTH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL “A” TEAMS host Northfield in 6:15
hardwood action in the west gym. Admission is $3.00 per person.
> The BOYS BASKETBALL “C” TEAM hosts Rochester in a 6:15 cage match up in the
east gym. Admission is $4.00 per person.
> The SEVENTH & EIGHTH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAMS travel to North Miami for
6:00 pm round ball action with the Warriors.
> The JUNIOR VARSITY & VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAMS travel to Pioneer for a
6:00 pm contest against the Panthers.
