South Warren wins Region 4 baseball tournament

South Warren High School defeated Bowling Green 4-3 May 30 to win the Region 4 Baseball Tournament held at Western Kentucky University's Nick Denes Field. The Spartans won South Warren's first regional championship in only the second year of competition. South Warren, 22-13-1 and winner of 16 of its last 18 games, advances to the State Tournament and will play the Region 5 champion June 4 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time at Lexington's Whitaker Bank Balllpark.
