An Amazing Win in the District Games Against Milan

November 3, 2011
By Lisa Moody of South Shelby High School

On October 5th the South Shelby Lady birds played against the Milan Wildcats and won 10-0. When asked how well they thought that the team did Head Coach Resa said, “We played really well against Milan, which was good to see because we played a little flat the night before. Bailey Fohey did an exceptional job on the mound with 10 strikeouts.” The District game against Milan was held at South Shelby. Mrs. Resa said, “This is a great experience because not every team has the advantage of playing districts on their home turf.” Mrs. Resa also stated that the team had met all three goals that they set at the beginning of the year Resa thinks that we really surprised people this year with the quality of ball we played. She heard lots of positive compliments from opponents all year about how different the team looked.
