Home » Yearbook NewsMass Media Walworth WorkshopOctober 9, 2011 By Lisa Moody of South Shelby High SchoolOn September 9th the South Shelby Mass Media staff loaded up the bus a little after 8 in the morning and headed off to Macon Vo-Tech where they met with the cover artist to design the cover for the 2011-2012 yearbooks. As well as meeting with the cover artist, they also went to different workshops to learn how to design yearbook pages and make the yearbook more appealing. During one of the session the group of Mass Media staff were challenged to make an appealing yearbook page. The team got to learn different techniques that they can use when creating the yearbook. After leaving the Walworth workshop many of the students came back with new ideas that they wanted to put in the newspaper. South Shelby Mass Media staff members Meleah said that the thing that she enjoyed learning the most at the Walworth Workshop was “learning how to use InDesign better.”
