With a score of 5 to 2 in the seventh inning with a for sure victory on their part, the Lady Birds still kept their heads in the game. Lexie Wilt hitting the ball to the fence and set the Lady Birds base running going! Lauren Trivette, a courtesy runner for Tristen Charlton, the catcher, saw the ball Cassidy Johnston put in the air and went for home making the first run! “Hitting was a great thing that night. Everyone was right on the ball after the first inning. There was a lot of good team work involved. A great win,” said Rhian Beldon.
