FFA....It Is What It Is

FFA slogan was chosen this year to be “It Is What It Is.” Many members were sporting this t-shirt at the first meeting on August 30, 2011, and as always, there was volleyball afterwards. In the meeting they discussed Farmer’s Day activities like the Straw Scramble, Deal or No Deal, the FFA Float, Greased Pig Contest, and a Pitch Tournament.

Other main topics discussed were the Area Leadership Conference which would be held on September 14th, and Trapshooting practice, the Chapter Trapshoot and Buddy Shoot. When the meeting was over, FFA members stayed and played a game volleyball. When asked what the best part of the FFA meetings are Sarah Carrick said, “The volleyball that we play afterwards because it’s a tradition and everyone’s involved.”
