Home » Baseball NewsCenter Field on CentraliaMay 11, 2011 By Lisa Moody of South Shelby High SchoolAs the rain continued to stay clear for the day the South Shelby Cardinals took advantage of the sun and played a game of baseball with the Centralia Panthers. Both teams having very determined players and coaches the game was a close one as the final inning left the Cardinals with 7 and down one point from it being a tied game. The game ended with the final score of 8-7 and the teams were close and although the Cardinals didn't win they were content with the game. Caleb Bender said, "Every game we don't win just makes us want to try that much harder in the next one."
