Dawson coach Answers Two Vital Questions

Question:

Now that your team has reported back, what are you seeing that you like?

Dawson Coach Eric Well:

“We have a good core of kids coming back. We lost a bunch of seniors, but with RB James White, ILB Cody Casey and Tony Upchurch (who was Dawson’s leading WR last year), we should be okay. We also have a lot of young kids. So right now, we are keeping it simple to help them getting going in the right direction."

Question:

In the short history of the school, Dawson has seen some success. What can fans expect for 2012?

Dawson Coach Eric Well:

“We are going to try and grow up fast in non-district. You know the district changed when we picked up Baytown Lee, Goose Creek Memorial and Galena Park. We will find a way to get into the playoffs, that’s No. 1. You know take it one week at a time. If we grow up this season and get on a run like we did in 2009, I think this group can do well. It’s a good group with good chemistry and lots of young players. I’m excited about this season."
