Trunk or Treat, Give Me Something Good To Eat!
October 16, 2013By Lucero Cuevas of South Houston High School
South Houston High School Yearbook staff will be hosting a Halloween event for the first time ever. Trunk or Treat first started when the hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, people lost their homes and sadly it was around Halloween time. Since people didn’t have their homes because it was destroyed by the hurricane, the kids were still going to have their “Trick or Treat” no matter what, but instead of going from house to house they would go from car to car at parking lots.
Faculty and students are invited to spruce up the trunk of their vehicles or entire car with Halloween decorations that are appropriate for children under 12 years of age. There will be games where kids could play, for example bobbing for apples, bean bag toss, box maze, and pumping carving contest just to name a few.
This will be for SHHS’s feeder elementary schools, children of faculty and staff, younger siblings of students, and kids staying at The Bridge Shelter.
When: October 30th, 2013
What time: 6:00P.M- 7:30P.M
Where: South Houston High School Parking Lot
