Asking that Special Person to Prom

It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air. So what better time to ask someone to the senior prom than now?  Senior prom is only a few months away and planning your steps ahead is never a bad idea.  Prom dates are a key element when it comes to prom, even if it’s just you and a friend, your date can help make your night one to remember.  For those of you who are having trouble finding a date, here are some helpful tips to asking your future date to the prom. 

Tips

1. Go to his/her house and bring a sign with you.  Without them knowing, write “Will You Go To The Prom With Me?” onto the sign.  Next call him/her to the window and let the sign do the talking.
2. Find out what types of things they like.  Even a simple flower with a note attached to it can mean something to that person if you know what things he/she likes. 
3. Location can also be a major factor.  On the beach when the sun is setting would be a cool place to ask someone, but let's be real, stuff like that almost never happens.  Finding a nice place such as a movie theater or a carnival can also be a romantic spot to ask.

Also keep in mind rejection does come with the territory and the best way to handle it is to smile, tell them its ok, and take rejection gracefully.
