Home » Boys' Soccer NewsKnowles the new face of Sky View soccerAugust 24, 2011 Sky View High SchoolDuring the spring of 2004, Kendon and Kourtney Knowles were vital cogs to a Sky View boys soccer squad that captured the 4A state title. Fast forward seven years later and their father, Kelly Knowles, will attempt to return the program to its glory days. That's because Knowles has been selected as the new head boys soccer coach at Sky View. The Providence native will replace Doyle Geddes, who stepped down after 16 seasons at the helm - 18 counting his two years as an assistant. "I'm way excited," Knowles said. "It's going to be a good opportunity. You know, it's really starting from scratch because a lot of kids haven't played at (the) state (club level), but I hear there's some pretty good kids in the program. But it will also be a good challenge for me to see if the assistant coaches and I can get things turned around and maybe change the attitude of what's happening with the boys soccer team right now."
