September 8, 2011
Southport High School

The girls’ cross country team faced off against rival Perry Meridian on Wednesday, Sept. 7.  The team lost after a tough-fought match. Although the team lost, not everyone was disappointed with the team’s performance.

“This was by far our best meet,” said head coach Nathan Fishel, “I definitely saw signs of improvement.”

Scoring for the Lady Cards were juniors Taylor Zorman and Jazzy Kemp, sophomore Jada Bell, freshman  Amber Levi, and senior Brooke Gagliola.

The next outing for the ladies is Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Ben Davis Invitational.  The start time is set for 10 a.m.
