Lacrosse team fails to register a win in two straight games

April 25, 2014
Southport High School

The boys lacrosse team played lost against Noblesville on Saturday, April 12.  The score ended up being 18-4.  According to head coach Mr. Chris Pottratz, the team wasn’t on the top of their game.

“The team didn’t play that well,” Pottratz said.  “We’ll need to be better prepared for our games to come.”

The team then went on to face Center Grove last Wednesday, April 16.  The team lost 16-1.  According to Pottratz, the health of the team has not been the best.

“We are dealing with a lot of injuries right now,” Pottratz said.  “We need to heal up so we can make a run in the last three weeks of the season.”

According to Pottratz, the player that deserves recognition was (sophomore) Tyler Schank at goalie.  “The rest of the team didn’t play well at all,” Pottratz said.

The team's next game will be Saturday, April 26 against F J Reitz. The game will be played at Mary Bryan elementary.

Come out and support the Cards in their efforts.
