Swimming team finishes up season after Sectionals

February 28, 2014
Southport High School

The boys swimming team participated in the final part of Sectionals last Saturday, Feb. 22, at Franklin Community. According to assistant coach Mr. Josef Horvath, the team ended on a high note with their performance at this meet.

“We ended the season well and the seniors had a good last meet,” Horvath said. “We didn’t swim as fast as we did on Thursday (Feb. 20), but I am not disappointed with the performance of our boys.”

Two of the relay teams for the Cards placed 8th at Sectionals. One of the teams, The 200-yard Freestyle relay team, consisted of (seniors) James Paden, Alex McSwain, Joseph Morris and (junior) Anthony Bueckers.

Thanks for supporting the team throughout their season.
