Boys swimming team loses close meet

February 14, 2014
Southport High School

The boys swimming team lost to Ben Davis Tuesday, Feb. 1.  The score was 91-88.  According to assistant coach Mr. Josef Horvath, the team won that meet in his mind.

“We should have won that meet,” Horvath said.  “We only lost by three points and we had multiple fast swims and first places in events.  They beat us through sheer numbers of swimmers.  It is the only downside to having a small team.”

The boys next meet is their Sectional on Thursday, Feb. 20.  The Sectional is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at Franklin Community.

Come out and support the Cards at Sectionals.
