Cards basketball team loses to Greenwood

February 14, 2013
Southport High School

The boys varsity basketball team traveled to Greenwood on Tuesday, February 12. The team lost 53-36.

Seniors Quinton Sanders and David Boyer had strong games for the Cards and brought a lot of energy to the game Simpson thought. Sanders had 10 points and Boyer had six points.

Head coach Mr. Kyle Simpson was disappointed in the team’s performance.

“We were a step to slow in the game and didn’t focus,” Simpson said.

In practice the team plans on working on sustaining energy.

The team will have a rematch with Lawrence Central tomorrow at Lawrence Central. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30.

Come out and support your Cards.
