Cards wrestling team places fifth at sectionals

The Cards wrestling team had sectionals on Saturday (Jan. 26) the boys placed 5^th out of 13 teams. The Cards also had five wrestlers place in the top three to advance to the regionals. Sophomore Dameion Rutledge at 106 lbs, placed second. 

Senior Casey Kauffman (113), juniors Gideon Sanlianpuia (132), Richard Rudolf (285), and sophomore Jesse Leamon (126) all placed third.

Junior Andrew Tremper (182) and sophomore Devin Dilley (138) both placed in fifth and are regional alternates.

“We will be working harder than ever this week at practice,” head coach Mr. David Walpole said. “So we can prepare for the regional coming up this Saturday (Feb. 3) at Perry Meridian.”
