Cards wrestling to compete at sectionals

The boys wrestling team has sectionals tomorrow, (Jan. 26) at Northwest High School and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.

Head coach Mr. David Walpole thinks sectionals will go well.

“All the guys are training hard and working hard.” Walpole said. “We have four wrestlers seeded in the top 3, (senior Casey Kauffman, junior Gideon Sanlianpuia, and sophomores Jesse Leamon, and Damieon Rutledge) and two others seeded in 6^th (junior Richard Rudolf and freshman Micah Wilburn).”

The boys have been working very hard on technique, strategy, conditioning, physical and mental toughness and strength.

“I think we will be successful if we wrestle tough and give it all we have.” Walpole said.
