Cards wrestling team to face Zionsville tonight

The Cards wrestling team has a meet tonight, (Jan. 17), against Zionsville. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at Zionsville.

“Zionsville will be a tough opponent.” Head coach Mr. David Walpole said. “They won the Corydon Classic that we went to a couple weeks ago and looked good doing it. However, we can beat them if we wrestle well.”

The Cards lost another wrestler, sophomore Alex Rieger, due to injury.

“That will hurt us,” Walpole said. “But everybody else is looking to step up to the challenge and get some big wins. We’re also looking forward to next week which is the Sectional meet at Northwest.”
