Cards wrestling places at Marion County Invite

The boys wrestling team placed 12^th out of 16^th at the Marion County invitational on Saturday the 15^th.

Sophomore Dameion Rutledge placed 6^th at 106 lbs. Senior Casey Kauffman placed 6^th at 113 lbs.

“The guys wrestled hard,” head coach Mr. David Walpole said. “But the competition was pretty tough.”

Coach thought both Rutledge and Kauffman had several hard-fought matches to earn their placing.

The freshman sat out of the meet because they will be wrestling in the freshman county later in the year and they can’t do both.

The boys have this week off and then they wrestle at the Scottsburg Holiday Tournament which is also going to be held at Scottsburg, on Dec. 28 and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
