The boys wrestling team had the Columbus Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 8. They started the meet off by going 5-3 against Bloomington North, including five pins.

Then the boys went 5-3 against Shelbyville. “They wrestled pretty well.” head coach Mr. David Walpole said. They then went 4-4 against Yorktown.

“Then we fell back a little.” Walpole said.

The boys finished 3-5 against Triton Central.

“We finished the day on a good note,” Walpole said. “We finished 5-3 against Brown County to finish the day. Overall, it has a day with some good and some bad but a pretty good day.”

Sophomore, Dameion Rutledge (106), senior Casey Kauffman (113) and junior Gideon Salianpuia (138) all went undefeated.

“We have a full week of practice this week to get better,” Walpole said. “And work hard until our Saturday tournament which is the Marion County Tournament.”
