Cards bowling teams split games

December 5, 2012
By Nick Holland of Southport High School

The boys bowling team defeated Center Grove 16-4 on Nov. 29. The Cards record is now 4-1 and they are tied for second place in conference.

Senior Donald Mitchell was “instrumental” in the victory against Center Grove.

The girls bowling team lost to Roncalli 12-8 on Nov. 29. The Lady Cards record is now 4-1. They are second in the conference.

Head coach Mr. Jeff Thomas said senior Danielle Bertram stepped up off the bench.

“Danielle Bertram gave the girls a nice spark off the bench, but it wasn’t enough to get a victory,” Thomas said.

The two teams return into action Thursday, Dec.6 at Southern Bowl.
