Girls basketball wins in dominating fashion vs. Hauser

November 13, 2012
By Nick Holland of Southport High School

The girls basketball team beat Hauser Junior-Senior High School this past Saturday, Nov. 10. The final score of the game was Lady Cards 73, Hauser 23.

Head coach Ms. Leah Enterline said the team played a good team game.

“We looked like we had a purpose out there,” Enterline said. “We shot really well and played harder than our last game.”

Enterline said that the team focused on hitting the “easy” shots, not just taking them. They also focused on defense in practice which transferred well to the game considering they only gave up 23 points.

Enterline said her stand out performer of the game was senior Grace Clark who had 20 points in 18 minutes.

The game overall according to Enterline was a good team effort and went “well” defensively.

The Lady Cards hope to continue improving their defense and taking those good shots for the next game this Friday night, Nov. 16 when they travel to Bloomington South for the Conference Indiana opener.

Come out and support your Lady Cards.
