Southport High SchoolMike Lundsford, the head varsity coach for the boys bowling team believes his team will go a long way this season.
The Cards bowling team lost one key starter, but have gained two new bowlers that Lundsford believes will replace him. Senior Christian Collins and sophomore Malik Knight are the two players to watch out for this season according to Lundsford.
Lundsford thinks Franklin Central will give the team the most competition this season.
Lundsford believes the team needs to improve on their spare shooting in order to be successful this season.
Lundsford does a few things in practice in order to prepare the team for their matches.
“We work on spares and we keep a positive attitude towards the game,” Lundsford said.
Senior Christian Collins said he thinks the team will do better this year compared to last year.
“We started out slow, but I think we are heading into the right direction,” Collins said.
