Lady Cards soccer season ends with loss to Perry Meridian

The Lady Cards soccer team lost last night to Perry Meridian in the first round of sectionals. The score of the game was 7-0. The Lady Cards finished their season with a 2-12-1 record.

Head coach Mr. Dan McLaughlin said the team played with great effort.

“We have a great group of young ladies that played hard all season,” McLaughlin said.

Perry Meridian’s team captain even complimented the team and said they improved a lot since the last time they played them.

McLaughlin is sad the season is over with.

“This was a special group of kids,” McLaughlin said.

However, McLaughlin said the team has a foundation built for next season.

“We have 15 varsity letter winners coming back,” McLaughlin said
