Girls golf season comes to an end

September 25, 2012
Southport High School

The Lady Cards golf team finished in last at regionals, on Sept. 20. Kaitlin Powers shot a 90 and the rest of the team “didn’t play very well” according head coach Mr. Bob Humbles. Nobody advanced to state.

“The Regionals went terrible,” Humbles said. “We have a lot of work to do to get ready for next season.”

Humbles thinks that the improvement of the team depends on the girls and how hard they want to work if the team will do well next season.

“They can’t wait till the season starts,” Humbles said. “They will do well, it just depends on them.”

Thank you for coming out and supporting your Lady Cards this season.
