Lady Cards soccer team to take on Roncalli

The Lady Cards soccer team will travel to Roncalli tonight, Wednesday, September 19. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30.

This is the first time the team will play on a turf field.

Head coach Mr. Dan McLaughlin said playing on a turf field is different because the field is even and there is no bad balance.

“None of our players have played on a turf field,” McLaughlin said.

McLaughlin said Roncalli is a good team with a good coach and players.

“They’re better than their record shows and have played some tough teams. They’ve even played some out of state teams,” McLaughlin said.

To get a win tonight McLaughlin believes the girls will have to pass well and keep possession and be organized defensively.
