Cards soccer wins close one

September 14, 2012
Southport High School

The boys soccer team won last night by a score of 4-3. The team beat Lawrence Central. Efrain Tover, Van Sui Lian, Lian Kham, and Ro Lian all scored the goals last night.

“Honestly I wasn’t very happy with tonight’s game,” head coach Mr. Josh Brown said. “We didn’t come out with the effort we needed and were down 1-0 at half. We had a very good start to the second half, scoring four goals in 12 minutes to take a 4-1 lead. We need to play a complete game every game, and we aren’t currently doing that consistently.”

The Cards next game will be next Tuesday, September 18 against Bloomington North. It will be a home game for the Cards and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Come out and support your Cards.
