Cards tennis loses to Roncalli

The Cards tennis team lost yesterday, September 12, to Roncalli 1-4.  One doubles team including senior Austin Stephenson and junior Billy Cross secured the lone match win for the Cards, 7-6, 6-3.

“We had freshman Steven Broadhead playing singles and senior Alex Darland playing for his first time number one varsity singles tonight,” head coach Mr. Harry Schwartz said.  “We’re moving people around in the lineup to give them more experience.”

The Cards next match is against 14^th ranked Columbus North tonight, September 13.  The Cards are scheduled to play at Columbus North at 5:30p.m.

“We’ll be moving around the lineup even more and hopefully we’ll gain more experience,” Schwartz said.
