Cards soccer posts shutout vs. FC

The boys soccer team won last night against Franklin Central by a score of 2-0. This is the Cards third shutout of the season. Senior Efrain Tovar and sophomore Peng Hnin scored the goals for the Cards.

“We played one of the most complete games we have played in almost two years,” head coach Mr. Josh Brown said of the team. “The things we worked on in practice really translated to the game and we corrected the mistakes we had been making.”

Brown said he has been waiting for a game like this all year, and he hopes it continues.

The Cards next match will be tomorrow, September 13 against Lawrence Central. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
