Cards tennis finishes 4th at Terre Haute

Last Saturday, September 8, the Cards competed in the Terre Haute Invitational.  The Cards finished in 4^th place out of four teams.  The Cards were one point behind North View.

Senior Austin Stephenson beat North View in one of his singles 6-0, 6-0.  Junior Alex Darland also finished above North View in one of his singles 6-4, 6-2.

“We should have gotten more points,” head coach Mr. Harry Schwartz said.

The Cards next match is today, September 11, against Bloomington North.  They are ranked 6^th in the state so they’ll be “really tough.”

“All I ask is that we play hard,” Schwartz said.

The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be a home match for the Cards.
