Cards tennis loses to LC

The Cards lost last night, September 6, against Lawrence North 0-5.  All the matches went to three sets.

“We played well, but we couldn’t close,” head coach Mr. Harry Schwartz said. 

Junior Alex Meyers and freshman Jared Hunsicker lost their doubles match in a tie breaker.

“I think we’re gaining experience after every match,” Schwartz said.

The Cards next match is this Saturday, September 8, at Terre Haute.  The Terre Haute North Invitational will consist of 4 teams: Terre Haute, Southport, Bishop Chatard, and North View High School.

“All these teams are state ranked teams so it’ll be a tough battle,” Schwartz said.

The invitational is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Each player is guaranteed two matches and depending on who wins what depends on how exactly each team finishes.
