Boys soccer looks to bounce back against Decatur Central

September 4, 2012
Southport High School

The boys soccer team has a game tonight, September 4, against Decatur Central, and will be held at Decatur Central. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

“We had a light practice session yesterday, head coach Mr. Josh Brown said. “Numbers were low due to the holiday weekend. Most of our preparation will have to be changes the guys make themselves, which they are capable of. Decatur is traditionally not a very good team, and they recently lost one of their best players. We have beaten them the last six years, and should beat them tonight if we play well at all.”

Decatur is currently 1-5 on the season.

Brown says he expects them to win at least by a couple goals and to get a shutout.

“I think our guys will be ready to play after the disappointment of Saturday.” Brown said.
