Girls Golf wins close match

This past Tuesday the girls golf team traveled to Winding Ridge and started their season off with a close win against Lawrence Central, 192-195. Senior Erin Marsh was the low medalist with a 42.

"Erin Marsh played well," head coach Mr. Bob Humbles said. "The rest of the girls need to jump start their golf game for us to be able to compete with some of the schools."

Humbles hopes that the team will play well when they have their next match on Thursday, August 2 against New Palestine at Southport's home course, Southern Dunes, at 4:30 p.m.
