Coach Spurlock will enter his second season at Sheldon Clark with the upcoming 2011-12 school year. He comes here from Clay County where he spent the previous four seasons there as head coach. Prior to Clay County he spent four years at Hazard and one year at Trimble County as the head coach. Before becoming joining the head coaching ranks Coach Spurlock spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Allen Central under Coach Johnny Martin.
Coach Spurlock has been married the last 19 years to Angela Spurlock and they have three daughters: Hannah, Savannah, and Rheannah (Rhe-Rhe). They reside in Inez, Ky.
