Cards defeat 'Breds to Kick-Off Season

The SCHS football team traveled to Paris, Kentucky to take on the Thoroughbreds of Harrison County in the Thoroughbred Bowl on August 18.  After an initial drive by Harrison County took them deep into Cardinal territory the Cards were able to hold and never let up.  They would follow TD runs by Brandon Butcher (2), Tyler O'Conner, and Chase Lafferty to build a 28-6 lead and come away with the 28-13 win after a late TB by Harrison County.  The Cards will travel to Prestonsburg to take on the Blackcats this coming Friday, August 24th with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 pm.
