Home » Boys' Basketball NewsSummer Season Comes to an EndJune 25, 2012 Sheldon Clark High SchoolThe Sheldon Clark Boys Basketball team ended their spring and summer workouts on June 21. During the months of March through May they worked out 3 days per week in the weightroom and did 2 days of individual workouts plus having open gym scrimmages. In the last part of May they began playing their summer basketball schedule. They completed 23 varsity game from May 22-June 21 which was highlighted by capturing the University of Pikeville Team Camp Championship. In this event they had to win 3 straight games. They defeated Haysi (VA), Wesley Christian, and then Johnson Central in the finals. They also traveled to Lexington, KY to take part in the AAU state tournament and finished there 3-3. Overall it was a successful summer season with great opportunities for experience and evaluations which should make them better prepared for the upcoming school season.
