Cards lose close one in region; finish season 26-7
March 12, 2012Sheldon Clark High School
Things never did warm up for the Sheldon Clark Cardinals as they entered the EXPO Center to take on East Ridge in their first round game of the 15th Regional Tournament. Shooting was ice-cold from the start and never did warm up as the Cards would drop a close one 50-48. They led 11-8 after the first quarter and 19-18 at the half as their defense would give them a chance to win amid their guards shooting a combined 7-30 from the field. ER would take a 2 point lead into the 4th quarter and both teams would play even in the final stanza as the Cardinals season would come to a close. They finish the season 26-7 and even though it did not end with a regional championship they boys can look back someday and cherish the fact that it was a successful season and one they should always be proud of.
