Home » Boys' Basketball NewsCards defeat BulldogsFebruary 13, 2012 Sheldon Clark High SchoolIt was an ugly day of basketball for the Cards as they traveled to Lawrence County to play their last district basketball game of the season. SC played as poorly as they have played all year as they turned the ball over excessively, shot horrible, and did not rebound as a team and actually trailed 25-22 at the half. The 2nd half would see the Cards that fans have come to watch all season as they would outscore the LC 32-11 in the 2nd half to win 54-36. The would shoot 6-6 from 3 pt land during that run and hit 7-10 FT's while dominating the boards. With the win the Cardinals captured the #1 seed for the first time in the school's history and won their 23rd game which ties the most ever regular season games ever won at SC, both of which were goals for the team as the season began. It is also the schools first 20 win season since 1993. Their next goal is to capture the district touranment but their dream is capturing the 15th Regional Championship. They will next travel to Shelby Valley on Tuesday 2/14.
