Basketball Kicks Off With Big Event In New Home

Louisville, KY - For the past four seasons, the St. Francis High School Athletic Department has organized the Wyvern Shootout, bringing in teams from across the city and state for preseason exhibition games.  Teams from Paducah, Fort Knox and Northern Kentucky, among other communities, have traveled to Louisville to compete in this one-day event.  This will be the first year the event will be hosted at St. Stephen's Family Life Center, the new home gymnasium of the Wyverns for the 2010-11 season.

                  This year's event will showcase teams from Louisville Collegiate, Fort Knox, Lynn Camp, Waggener, Western and Gallatin County.  Six teams will compete in the girls' division that will begin at 11 a.m.  The schedule is as follows:

Five teams will compete in the boys' division scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.  The boys' schedule follows:

St. Stephen's Family Life Center is located on the corners of 15^th and Kentucky

Streets in downtown Louisville.  The entrance to the facility faces towards Kentucky Street.  Come check out the Wyverns in this event.
