Mt. Pleasant Show Choir Invitational February 4

The 4th Avenue Jazz Co. from Iowa City High returns to defend their 2011 Grand Champion title at the 2012 Mt. Pleasant Show Choir Invitational "Music InMotion" on February 4.

The event, hosted by the Mt. Pleasant High School show choir InMotion and sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Music Boosters, will feature 18 show choirs from Iowa and Wisconsin, plus exhibition performances by the University of Northern Iowa's Vocal AmmUNItion, the Mt. Pleasant Middle School's Chain Reaction, and InMotion.

Other show choirs will be here from La Crosse, Wisconsin, plus Iowa show choirs from Bettendorf, Muscatine, Western Dubuque, Keokuk, Davenport North, Davenport West, Davenport Central, and Ottumwa.

The event begins at 9:00 AM at the High School and will wrap up with the awards presentation around 10:00 PM.

Admission is $10, which is good for both the daytime session and the evening finals. Children under 5 get in free. There will be no charge for the programs.
