Panther Girls Record First Win

April 22, 2014
Mt Pleasant High School

It's been a rough season so far for the girls soccer team as they have had to replace 9 of 11 starters to graduation. But some bright spots in their first 3 games - all losses - gave hope, which was realized last night when the Panthers knocked off the Fort Madiosn Bloodhounds 5-1 at Richmond Stadium in the Pen City.

Lauren Ralls had a hat trick in the first half, staking Mt. Pleasant to a 3-0 lead at halftime. Megan Myers scored 2 second half goals, assisted by Ralls, to secure the victory.

Tonight the girls host Burlington Notre Dame, who also has teammates from West Burlington and Danville High Schools. Notre Dame pounded the Bloodhounds 9-0 last week. Varsity game begins at 4:30 pm on the pitch at East Lake Park. The JV match will follow.
