Kyle DePriest To Sing At State Tournament

Mt. Pleasant Community High School senior Kyle DePriest has been chosen the sing the National Anthem at the Iowa High School Boys Basketball Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Kyle will sing on Friday before the 10:30 AM Class 1A consolation game between Danville and North Tama of Traer.

A student of high school vocal instructor Philip Schroetter, Kyle has been a four year participant in the All-State Chorus and has won numerous other awards, including a recent honor as Best Male Vocalist at the Dutch Masters Show Choir Invitational at Pella High School.

Kyle is also involved in band, where he plays trumpet in the marching band, symphonic band, pep band, and Jazz I. He is the son of Marlene and Jim DePriest.
