Pleasant Panthers are off to a good start in defending last year's state 3A basketball championship as they breezed by Clear Creek-Amana tonight 57-25. Faith Pope led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points. The game also marking the return of guard Dalton Conrad who had been out of action due to a knee injury since mid January. Mt. Pleasant now faces Williamsburg Thurday night at 7:00 PM in Fairfield. Williamsburg (14-8) defeated Ft. Madison tonight to advance.
