Big Reds Hands Panthers 2 Point Loss

A battle of two of the better boys basketball teams in Southeast Iowa went down to a final shot tonight in a 53-51 win for Centerville over Mt. Pleasant.

The Panthers trailed most of the game, but pulled within two points in the final eight seconds, with a last chance three point attempt bouncing off the rim.

Cameron Frank and Faith Pope led MP in scoring with 15 points each. The Big Reds' Michael Starcevich led all scorers with 17 points. Centerville is now 8-1, while the Panthers are 7-3.
